Key Concepts film poster analysis

            1) How can you tell this is a film poster? Identify at least one key convention or typical feature that tells you this is a film poster (e.g. title, tagline, age rating etc.)             This is a Chineses drama called 'Falling into your  smile'. The two people in the poster were main characters and the age rating is 15+. There's more side characters who support them.I watched the trailer of the drama and it was so good .It romance and sport at the same time. They play Onmyoji Arena  to beat the other teams, and Tong Yao is the formal female in ZGDX. She is the first female to show the world that all women can become a gamer if they want to. 2) What type of film is it? How can you tell? 1 ) Write a definition of a   passive  audience: Is when everyone agree with each other and don't question it. 2)  Write a definition of an  active  audience:  Is when everyone disagree with each other and start to question it. 3) Write a definition of the  hypodermic needle  theory: That audiences are always passive and message from the producer as if it was  injected into their minds. 4) Write a definition of the  two-step flow  theory: Is form their opinions like if someone was very famous/popular.

Editing analysis

  1) Watch the first minute of the clip . How many times does it cut? (This is when the shot changes - the first cut in the scene is after 9 seconds).         It cut eight times in the first minute.     2) How does the pace (speed) of cuts change between 1 minute and 1.30?        It change from the fast angle to close angle.        

Reception theory

  1) What is the preferred reading of a media text?           The message or belief the producer want you to go away with. 2) What is the oppositional reading of a media text?        The audience reject the intended message and construct an opposite reading instead.  3) What do the producers of the trailer want the audience to think about the teenagers and young people in the film?                The producers want the audience to think that the teenagers and young people in the film are powerful and strong.
